‘Bilderberg looks to the future’

In this edition of Tales From Europe, Hannah Borno interviews researcher and film-maker Giorgio Bombassei about the recent sweeping changes in the elite Bilderberg Steering Committee. Changes that see technocracy turning to technology with appointments such as Alex Karp of sinister surveillance tech giant Palantir making the cut- joining cronies Peter Thiel and Eric Schmidt and Microsoft’s Craig Mundie, and redefining the group as a premier technology think tank, as well as a financial, industrial and political powerhouse. We scrutinise other changes such as the surprising introduction of Ryan Air’s Michael O’Leary, and explore what this appointment reveals about the group’s mind-set and modus operandi. And finally, we contextualise these changes by looking at the history of the group and the life of its little known founder the Polish diplomat Joseph Retinger.’
