
In a 2-1 ruling, the DC Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) net neutrality rules. In a statement, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler said the ruling “ensures the internet remains a platform for unparalleled innovation, free expression and economic growth.” The DC Circuit Court upheld the ruling despite heavy resistance from the telecom industry. The ruling is “a sweeping victory for all Americans, whether it’s the innovators or anybody that uses the Internet.”
