After a recent fatal dog attack in Montreal, the question of what to do about pit bulls is being hotly debated – while the government is planning a ban.

Despite all the hype about pit bulls and their reputation as top biters, stats show that the top killers are actually huskies and sled dogs – often in packs. On top of that, Toronto’s pit bull ban has done nothing to decrease dog bites overall. The stats show breed-banning has had no effect and probably never will.
