Here’s what nearly all school shooters have in common. If we address these causes, maybe then we can finally stop mass shootings in schools.
Podcast Transcript: “This is going to be a short podcast, but I’ve been doing a lot more thinking about how to stop school shootings. I know that most people want to stop them. You hear people screaming, ‘Do something. Do something.’ Well, what’s the solution? I think you have to look at the common factors that school shootings have. I’ve been doing more research into the history of school shootings and here it is. This is the combination, it’s a recipe. Number one: The kid is usually extremely bullied. So, they hate their fellow classmates and they hate their school. Some of that hatred by the way, may be in a sense a reaction to all of the extreme bullying that this person has been subjected to. I’m not excusing their behavior in any way whatsoever. I’m just saying this is a factor. They are usually bullied. So, bullying, which is very common in high schools, and maybe middle schools, we need to take a very close look at bullying, because that’s a contributing factor.
